As the Beacon of Light Tech, I understand that not everyone grew up with technology. That's why I offer compassionate and patient services to help you buy and use today's devices. Through my digital knowledge, I am here to guide and support you through any technical challenge you may encounter.

I offer tech support in Knoxville, TN and surrounding cities with various technology services to meet your needs. My services include but are not limited to:
Finding Devices That Fit Your Needs
In most cases, you shouldn't have to break the bank to own today's devices. I will work with you to purchase the most cost efficient computer, tablet, phone or TV and help you set them up.
Setting up online accounts & streaming devices
I can assist you in setting up accounts for email, Skype/Zoom/FaceTime, Facebook/social media, Hulu/Netflix/Discovery+, your alumni, PBS.org, online shopping & more.
Then I can also setup all streaming devices (i.e. TV, Roku, Amazon Firestick, etc.).
Basic Computer Assistance
There isn't anything too simple for me to help teach you. If you've never used the internet, a mouse, or a keyboard... I'm here to help you.
Device Accessories
You may want a printer or another accessory for your devices. Some accessories do not require wires/cords for which I can assist having them connected.
How to surf the internet
There are things that make the internet easier to use. There are also things you need to be warned about for your information security and to protect your computer. I am more than happy to go over some tips on how to browse the web with ease and stay safe.

I want to emphasize that my support is with compassion and patience. In my past career positions, I've always strived for excellence in customer service. Doesn't matter where you are from, how old you are, race, color, creed, I believe we all have dignity that should be respected.

"Kristen has been a tremendous asset to me and multiple family members regarding a number of technical issues (i.e. problems arising on personal computers, televisions, cell phones, printers, etc.) She is very knowledgeable in all things technological and it is unusual that she cannot resolve a problem on initial evaluation. "Whenever I have computer or phone issues, I turn to Kristen.
Just recently, my iMac computer crashed after I tried to update it and I couldn’t get it to turn back on. (Terror – looking at that black screen!) She patiently helped troubleshoot the problem. After diagnosing a hardware issue she couldn’t resolve, she got help from the Apple techs. It happened that my computer was too old to update and I needed a new computer. Kristen walked me through the process to buy a computer that fit my needs. Due to my computer crashing, I FEARED I had lost all my documents and photos! However, she was able to connect a cord in a special mode on my old computer to transfer to the new one. I was so relieved to see years of information and photos reappear. She came to my home to do this. She helped me sign into all my accounts, reconnected me to my printer and my favorite mouse (she needed to download software onto the new computer for the old printer and old mouse to work), and hooked up a new bluetooth keyboard. I was surprised to see how quickly the new computer was fully up and running. That was just this instance.
